3 Ways to Zap Mediocrity & Create a Culture Of Excellence Around You

In life, you will always get what you tolerate. If you tolerate mediocrity, you will get more of it. If you tolerate others to behave a certain way, they will continue to do so until you put your foot down.

If you are an entrepreneur and some of your employees are mediocre, you need to stop tolerating them. If you don’t, they will eventually ruin your business. They will cause your good customers and employees to leave.

Simply put, pay people for excellence instead of lousiness. Reward excellence instead of mediocrity.

If you are a boss and some members of your team are unproductive and mediocre, don’t tolerate them. They can slow down your team members.

Now, I’m not asking you to go around and start firing people. If you think about it, most people have what it takes to be excellent. They have the internal resources to show up and perform at their best. They just don’t know how to access their available resources.

That means your first option is not to get rid of your underperforming team members. Instead, you should help and empower them to raise the bar of excellence on themselves.

The best way to do so is to first raise the bard on yourself. You have to model excellence for them. You also need to coach and train them.

In this video, you will discover the three ways to make sure everyone performs with excellence.

    HELLO
IM A HR MANAGER OF A REKNOWDED ORGANIZATION.
IM HERE FOR ABOUT 1 YEAR OR SO.
BUT IT IS A GREAT CHALLENGE FOR ME TO CHANGE THE WORKING ENVIRONMENT AND CERTAIN DOS AND DONTS TO THIS ORGANIZATION.
    BECAUSE OF MY MANAGEMENT
THEY WANT ME TO CHANGE THE ENVIRONMENT ALL AROUND THE COMPANY BUT THEY DONT GIVE ME THE POWER OF ATTORNEY TO DO CERTAIN THINGS WHICH HELPS ME TO ACHIEVE MY GOALS.
PLEASE SUGGEST ME HOW I CHANGE THE BEHAVIORAL ISSUE WITHIN THIS ORGANIZATION AND MAKE PEOPLE MOTIVATE AT THE SAME TIME. THEY NEED TO MAINTAIN SOME RULES AND REGULATION BY FOLLOWING SOME DOS AND DONTS.
    HELP ME OUT.

Hi Israt. It’s not about the power of attorney. You are dealing with people. You just need to use some good people skills to influence others to do what you want them to.

      Here a couple of tips:

1- People do things for their own reasons; not yours. Find out what motivates them. That’s your leverage. The reality is, no matter what they tell you, your job is to dig deeper.

The remarkable thing is, most people don’t even know for sure what’s their motivation or what is the need they are trying to fulfill. It’s often an unconscious process.

2- Never make any feel like they have to do anything. The moment you take away someone’s freedom of choice, they will fight. They will revolt. Use my magic phrase after every request, “You don’t have to. But, if you did…”
